About paired
paired is a private WhatsApp chat analyzer for couples. It shows how your texting changed over time, without your messages ever leaving your phone.
How the analysis works
The chat file is read and analyzed in your browser. We never receive messages, names or results. Which metrics paired computes, how, and what they can't tell you is documented openly on the science page.
How our guides are written
- The guides are written by the paired team.
- Every research claim names a study we have checked (title, journal, DOI) and says only what that study found. All studies are listed with links on the science page.
- Anything beyond a study is practical guidance and worded as such. We don't invent statistics.
- Every guide also says what a chat can't tell you.
- When we change a guide substantively, we update its date.
What paired is not
paired is not couples counseling, diagnosis or therapy. If you're struggling or don't feel safe in your relationship, please talk to a counselor or a local support service.
